Weird Issues after update '.158'

Rooted or not: No

========================================
My phone was working perfectly fine up until the update ending with '.158' was installed. There are 2 major issue I have noticed and they're both pretty weird.

1. The side mounted USB port allows for the headphone to be connected and works perfectly when a headphone is connected but as soon as I connect the charging cable to it, it starts charging for a mili second and immediately stops charging. It gives the idea as if the port or the charger is busted.
However, the charger works perfectly in the bottom port and charges the phone.

2. Snapchat and Instagram have stopped recording videos in-app. Whenever I try to record a video through any of them, the app just clicks a picture instead. Also video calls on both app results in the person I am calling not being able to see my face.
However the problem seems to be only in these 2 apps since video calls work in Whatsapp, Telegram, etc. I am using latest updated versions of both apps.

Hopefully it's just a bug and can be resolved via an update but I'd appreciate any thoughts given as to why is this happening.

Thank you for the opinions but I'm really hoping a future update can fix it and I'll be saved from the hassles of resetting my phone. But if that doesn't happen any time soon, I believe reset is the only way forward.
Thanks again.

Its not a software bug from asus , its a updates system generated bug which can sometimes go away with other updates and sometimes they wont and next update isn't coming anytime soon so i dont think its not worth the wait

Future update unlikely will fix because anything because it's not a bug in the firmware. Nobody has these bugs aside from you, which means what likely has happened is some update mechanism has messed up. Factory reset or maybe flashing the same update again could possibly solve the issue. However since u're not rooted flashing again seems not really doable.

Hi illixir,
Have you tried a factory reset? Even though a bug if the 1st isn't solved after factory reset check with the nearest service center. 2nd seems like an app issue.

Haven't yet. Will probably factory reset today and see if things change for better.
