NightSkyIt is entirely software related. I made a video explaining why this is happening. It's basicially happening because screens are getting brighter and OLED's actually shift gamma based on brightness due to them not having layers but instead have everything in 1 pixel.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/145679#Comment_145679
Hello im new here. I did a search on "black crush" issue and found this. Is this true that "black crush" is a hardware problem? I thought somebody said on this forum that "black crush" issue is software problem.. And required update later to fix it. So i was wondering if u could give me your opinion on this one. Since i like Rog 3 and wanted to buy it. Here is an explanation as to why black crush is happening and how Asus can fix it. It also explains how this is NOT a hardware defect even with an example.
I hope this will clearify a great deal and that you guys need to stop spreading weird nonsense like its caused by high refreshrate screens, hardware defect or that asus cheaped out on displays. Just chill a little bit and let asus fix it, and Asus you need to stop the hotfixes, it's seriously doing more damage than good.
Hope to see much less black crush topics as it's really getting old by now.

nightmaster552What is your opinion on Rog 3 latest update on Dec 2020? Does it gets better? or not? Also does black crush issue happen when you use for gaming?.Also I need to stress this out, the Rog3 is absolutely not worth buying for normal consumers. The phone is more for enthusiasts that know what their are doing. Most issues you find here on the forums are mostly user caused because the phone has so many features and settings where users can fk somethnig up.
Also never buy a phone because you think it's fixable in the future, buy a phone youll be happy with from the getgo and if it has issues that you can live with it. Just because it's fixable and will most likely be fixed in the future, doesn't make it near future.

NightSkyIf you game horror games or Minecraft yes,but for the popular games like pubg Cod or genshin impact it's performance and colours are better than even the 12 pro maxhttps://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/145949#Comment_145949
