After the firmware update of the 21st of September 2020, I am facing problems using Google Pay and Google Play. The message I got on google pay while trying to pay in store is that my phone is not "Play protected" anymore, hence I cannot use the google pay app. I do not why this happened since I never rooted my phone. Try clearing data for Google Play Store and Google Play Services, then Reboot.
In about 30 minutes after, you should be able to see if your device is certified, in Play Store's settings.
