Screen freezing

When I'm scrolling on my phone looking at manga like a certified dweeb my screen occasionally freezes up. And then i usually hold down the power button to unfreeze the screen. But I'm looking if anyone knows a less tedious process to unfreeze the screen?

(P.S: I'm using my crusty little Zenfone 3)

May I ask for the full model of the phone you are using?
