My keyboard is occasionally not working. Everything seems fine and then suddenly it stops registrering the keys. This has been an ongoing problem, only months after I bought it. I have tried automatically and manually updating the driver.

Could you elaborate why this would work? (I don't doubt that it could work, just wondering why) And do you know if this is a common problem with this model?

ya common problem , not only with Asus , i seen complaints about many models from different brands.
in some times, we can type on notepad, but typing will not work on browsers. I experienced too.

What is your BIOS version?
GU502GU - SupportAnd can you check in Armoury Crate or MyASUS to see if there is any keyboard firmware that need to be updated or have been updated?
Also, if you have a external keyboard, does the same issue happen?
