Detailed description:
Used a thunderbolt to displayport in the Dash F15 thunderbolt port to connect to the Reverb G2. Windows mixed reality app finds the Reverb G2, the displays turn on but are showing vertical bars. Items in screen are tracking, but no color, mostly vertical bars. sometimes the right screen does work.
I'm only testing through the Windows mixed reality portal.
It almost seems like it isn't using/activating the Nvidia 3070 card, since the graphics usage stays low and the dash doesn't get warm and the fans stay off.
The Reverb G2 works in my desktop computer with an ASUS 3080 TUF installed.

Hello trduff,
Sorry I'm really confused about your question.
The display export is executed by the Intel card, while you are able to set the games to be executed my Nvidia card, then transfer data to Intel to export, there is no conflict about this.
And about Windows Mixed Reality Ultra, do you mean something like below link?
Windows® Mixed Reality 體驗由 Radeon™ 和 Ryzen™ 提供It is supported by AMD while FX516 is an Intel product. May I know where did you see the advertisement?
FX516 does support VR, you may see that headset other than this HP ones work.
Thank you.

From the Best Buy link that I bought it from, I can't include the link:

ASUS - TUF DASH 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel 11th Gen i7 - 16GB Memory - GeForce RTX 3070 - 1TB M.2 PCIEG3 SSD - Eclipse Grey - Eclipse Grey

Under features it shows:
Virtual Reality Ready
This computer has the required specs to run Virtual Reality hardware and software and is compatible with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality Ultra.

Hello trduff,
Well...this model is supporting VR. Oculus Rift HTC Vive are working.
And I find more information about Windows Mixed Reality Ultra,
May you share the Windows Mixed Reality PC check result?

Unfortunately, that program is no longer used by Microsoft, so I can't install and run the test. it was replaced with this Microsoft app: Mixed Reality Portal.
It doesn't have the test, like the other app did, but it does show the Reverb G2 as functioning correctly.

If you can actually find a link to the old program, link it here and I'll install and test it, although when I ran it on my other computer last year, it said the ASUS RTX 3080 TUF was not compatible, which it certainly is.

The notebook specs say specifically that it will run Microsoft mixed reality, this is why I bought the notebook.

So, I was lucky. The retailer who sold me the reverb G2 took it back and gave me a refund.
With the statement that 'Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are working', I replaced the G2 with the HTC Vive Cosmos Elite and tried it out yesterday. Took a while to get it going and results are here:

Image upside down
Image inverted
Image not VR
Left and right image overlapping
So not really working.
I can't find any kind of set up guide anywhere for the Dash F15 / HTC Vive combination. It's definitely not plug and play for sure
