Just got a BE14000 3 node mesh to replace an aging Linksys system. Working well so far....with 2 items I need to address:

1. Range is not what I expected, but that it not the topic of this item.

2. The System Log shows errors:

Hi,

don't understand the logs, but something similar occurred when I installed a 3 pack XT9.

- Reset all 3 BT8 units

- Configure the router and assign fixed IPs for the nodes

- Add first node

- Add second node

- Restart the whole system (before that check on all units if the firmware is identical .- eventually update if not identical)

Hi @tfhoughton ,

Thank you for contacting us!

Regarding the multiple error messages appearing in your system log, we would like to confirm the following details with you:

  1. Time of Issue Occurrence: When did this issue start occurring? Were there any updates or changes in settings made before the issue appeared?
  2. Router Usage Status: Are there any abnormalities in the router’s functionality, such as connection issues, frequent disconnections, or other problems?
  3. Firmware Version Confirmation: Please verify if your router’s firmware has been updated to the latest version.

To enhance the router's stability and security, we recommend following these steps:

  • Restore Router to Factory Settings: After restoration, please manually reconfigure the router. [Wireless Router] When Standard Reset Isn’t Working: Hard Factory Reset - Models list | Official Sup...
  • Set a Complex Password: For improved security, set a password with at least 10 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Avoid simple or sequential patterns such as 12345678, abcdefg, or qwertyuiop.
  • Disable Unnecessary Features: To improve stability and security, consider turning off the following unnecessary features:
    Remote access to the router
    FTP, AiCloud
Port Forwarding, SSH, DMZ, Port Triggering

You can refer to the following FAQ: [Wireless] How to make my router more secure? | Official Support | ASUS Global

Thank you.

I’m having the exact same problem on a newly installed BT8 with three nodes.  I’m also seeing the speeds very greatly (from high 500mbps to a low of 7mbps) and can’t get to the internet randomly.  I think there is an issue in the firmware.  If no resolution I’ll be forced to return and try a different mesh system.

Hi @Pilot ,

Regarding the issue you mentioned about receiving error messages every three seconds, since your device model is BT8 and differs from the model discussed in this thread, to avoid confusion and ensure proper follow-up, we kindly suggest creating a new post to address your specific issue.

Meanwhile, please help us confirm the following details:

  1. Besides the error messages, have you encountered any other issues during usage, such as network disconnections or reduced speeds?
  2. Have you tried performing a hard factory reset? Please refer to our relevant FAQ guide. [Wireless Router] When Standard Reset Isn’t Working: Hard Factory Reset - Models list | Official Sup...

To assist our team in reviewing the log records, we recommend submitting a system report at the time of the issue. Please follow these steps:

  1. Connect your device (PC, laptop, etc.) to the router, open the Web Management Interface (http://router.asus.com/), and log in.
  2. Navigate to “System Management” > “Feedback.”
  3. Provide the following details: region, email address (required), ASUS service/case number, issue type, and issue description.
  4. Read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  5. Click “Submit” to send the form.

Additionally, please private message us the following information to assist further:

  • Product serial number
  • Feedback submission time
  • Email address used for feedback
  • Time of the issue occurrence
  • Device MAC address
  • Current network topology

If the network is unavailable at the time, the UI will generate an offline data download link. Please download the data, compress it into a ZIP file, and upload it to any cloud service, providing the link for our analysis.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
