wired to wired connectivity issues on ZenWifi XT9

Product: ASUS ZenWiFi XT9 AX7800 Tri-Band WiFi6 Mesh WiFiSystem (2Pack) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHL6PXQT)

Firmware version: 3.0.0.4.388_24709

I have a two nodes using ethernet backhaul. 1 computer wired directly to one node and another computer wired directly to the other node but are unable to route between them.

I have noticed that disabling the guest wifi network seems to fix the issue. Is there any way to keep the connectivity between wired ports across nodes AND run a guest network?

Hello, I'm using wireless backhaul and I have a guest network and it works. I did have to reset the whole wifi after upgrading the firmware, and then sometimes I have to do a simple reset, but for now it seems stable.

Hi @jessev ,

Regarding this issue, please assist in confirming whether you have set up the guest network according to the steps in the FAQ below.

[Wireless Router] How to set up Guest Network on ASUS Router? | Official Support | ASUS Global

Additionally, we recommend performing a hard reset on the device and then reconfiguring it to check. If using a wireless connection, does the issue still occur?

If the issue persists after resetting, please use the system to submit a problem report at the time the issue occurs.

Please follow the steps below to report the issue, and we will assist you:

  1. Connect your device (PC, laptop, etc.) to the router, then open the Web management interface (http://router.asus.com/) and log in to your router.
  2. Click on "System Administration" and select "Problem Report."
  3. Fill in your region, email address (required), ASUS service/case number, issue type, and a description of the issue.
  4. Please read and agree to the privacy policy and relevant service terms.
  5. Click "Send" to submit your form.

Additionally, please send us the following information via private message: product serial number, the time the problem report was submitted, the email used for the problem report, the time the issue occurred, the MAC address of your device, and a network architecture diagram of your current environment.

If your network is down, the UI page will generate a link for downloading offline data. Please click the link to download the data, compress it into a ZIP file, and provide a cloud link for us to analyze.

Thank you for your cooperation.
