Good morning everyone
I'm writing because I'm trying to understand if there is a way to exploit my master router
I'll explain:
AiMesh configuration with
ASUS RT-AX88U PRO as master
ASUS RT-AX88U as a node
At the master, on its WAN, the Fritzbox 7530 modem provides internet
Now the Fritz is also a router, with WIFI turned OFF, and in addition to its firewall it has DHCP control
The master ASUS is configured as Access Point and the other one is the upstairs node
What I'm trying to understand, even throwing away the Fritz and buying a new device is:
Is it possible to have a simple FTTC modem that DOES NOT also act as a router or, at least, that function can be disabled without too many problems (DHCP included)?
I would like the ASUS RT-AX88U PRO to work as a router, being able to take advantage of a greater number of functions that I don't have if it is an Access Point...
Thanks in advance
