My AXE7800 was bought 18 months ago. It worked fine for the first few months. After that the 6GHz signal disappeared and I assumed that it was the problem of my only 6E device which is a Samsung S23 Plus because it was right after upgrading to Android 15 and some users encountered similar problems. When Android 15 came to S23 Plus a few weeks ago, most S23 Plus users said that the problem has gone, and the cell phone can connect with Wifi 6E but mine still cannot. I factory reset my AXE7800 and the 6E signal appeared again and I could connect my S23 Plus to the router. However, the 6E signal disappears again after I rebooted the router and never come back again. Is this a problem that only happens to me? Any similar issues out there? I don't want to keep factory resetting it for the 6GHz signal.

This appears to be an updated firmware problem affecting many ASUS networking products. You may have recently updated your ASUS firmware. ASUS is pushing poorly executed firmware updates.

Really? I cannot find anyone having the same issue from any forums or anywhere else. I have updated several different firmwares from Asus since I bought it but the problem still persists. It works as a Wifi 6 router instead of Wifi 6E now.

Yes, others are also reporting troubles after ASUS firmware updates across other ASUS models. I have four ET8 Mesh nodes that can no longer broadcast 6e since the May update. Previous updates were doing the same thing but GUI changes to the main router could get 6e working again until the May update. The ET8 units will now only broadcast 6e when used in router mode. The coverage range of each band has also been reduced from them. The problem is quite widespread.
You could have warranty problem with the router requiring repair, if it's not the firmware, since you aren't using it in Mesh node mode.

If you download the WiFiman app to your S23, you can see if something else is affecting your signal. It's a great WiFi troubleshooting app.
