Hi
I have an AI mesh contructed of 2 RT-BE88U, an RT-AX86U pro, an RT-AX59U and an RT-AC68U.
One of theBE88Us is the main router connected to the WAN, the AX86U and the second BE88U are connected directly to the main router and the remaining two are connected to the second BE88U. All linked by cable and running smoothly.
However, very randomly I loose thre of them, the second BE88U and the ones connected through it. I was able to hunt the problem down to the connection between the two BE88Us: they are connected through a hub and whenever the connection is lost I can see that the connection led is still on but the data transfer led stays off.
here is what the log says around the time of a disconnect. I have no clue what it means...

Using your switch should be no problem with the main and the other routers. Your added routers should be in AP mode with each using different channels in each band. This will help prevent overlapping channel interference. It can also reduce some resource use at the main and will allow you to see the AP logs. Your added units should only broadcast wireless connections for clients and use Ethernet downhaul with the main.
If you reconfigure in this manner and the disconnects continue between the router and APs, the switch is likely the cause.

I would suggest enabling Ethernet Backhaul Mode under General -> AiMesh -> System Settings (tab), if not already. Similarly in line with what @Alex52 notes try removing the RT-AC68U from the mesh. If you really need it switch it to Access Point mode, because all your routers would be limited by it in mesh...

sorry, I was not clear: "connected via cable" meant ethernet backhaul. Currently I am troubleshooting all cables and network switches on the way between the two BE88Us, next will be taking out the 68U. I really do not need it. I think.
