Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with port forwarding while using WireGuard through the VPN Fusion functionality on my ASUS TUF-AX4200 router with the latest firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_33506.
When WireGuard is enabled via VPN Fusion (NAT is also enabled), port forwarding doesn’t seem to work. However, I’ve read that port forwarding works fine when using OpenVPN, but not with WireGuard.
I’d like to know if this is an intentional limitation or a potential bug in the firmware. If intentional, is there any technical reason behind it?
For context, my ISP doesn’t offer a static IP address, and my public IP changes frequently. To resolve this, I rent access to a stable IP address through WireGuard, which works well for general connectivity, but I still need the ability to open ports.
If there’s a fix or workaround I might have missed, I’d really appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you!
