Latest RT-AX86U firmware 3.0.0.4.388_24323 shuffles account order and prevents USB access

Posting in case anyone from Asus monitors the forum.

In the RT-AX86U router interface, under USB Application > Network Place (also in FTP Share) the sequential order of accounts listed for USB access isn't stable anymore, as of this update.

The top account (initially named RT-AX86U) is not editable nor can it be logged into for everyday access. Usually, the admin adds an editable account, for example MYUSERS, under the top account and gives users the MYUSERS credentials so that they can connect to USB.

With this update, any reboot of the router shuffles the list of accounts, and when MYUSERS reaches the top, it becomes uneditable and user connections that made use of MYUSERS fail.

Workaround is to keep rebooting or adding accounts until MYUSERS moves off the top of the list, but it's a poor way of operating.

Hi @Aureliannn_ASUS, thank you so much for replying. To see whether it's reproducible, I had already done a factory reset and other troubleshooting before posting about the bug.

If it continues in future updates, I might submit the official feedback form next time. Thanks again!

I am having the same issue too. I am looking forward to an early firmware update which hopefully can resolve this issue.
