I have a RT-AX82U dual band router. I want to use the 5g for everything EXCEPT FOR a bird feeder camera that only works on the 2.4g. I have set up the 5g network. Do I use the same steps for setting up the 2.4g network?

Yes simply create a different SSID for 2.4 GHz and connect the bird feeder camera to that.
