Airplay from Ethernet to Wifi

Hi.

I have 3 ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8). All devices are connected with Ethernet backbone.
My Apple TV is also connected with Ethernet. When trying to use Airplay from my Apple TV to a speaker with Airplay support on Wifi, the Audio does not get through. 

Any ideas?

Hi @hermod ,

based on your issue, could you please specify which device you are connecting to Airplay? Have you ensured that the device is compatible with Airplay? 

Have you make sure that all the firmware is at the latest version?

If you can connect normally when using the router's network, we suggest contacting Apple's official customer support for assistance with the issue of no sound when connecting to a speaker via Airplay. Thank you.

Yes. I have disconnected my Apple TV from Ethernet and connected it to wifi. Now my Apple TV can send Audio to my Airplay device. Somehow the audio is not getting through when one device is connected to ethernet and the other device is on Wifi. Somehow the Audio is being blocked in my satellite or router.

Apple Support instructions specifically note to connect the two devices to the same WiFi.  Sadly I think it’s by design that you are having this issue:
