TUF Gaming B550M-Plus Wifi II - Wifi device could not be found/installed

Hello,

we bought the TUF B-550M-Plus Wifi II motherboard to replace an exsiting B450-F Gaming II motherboard. The other components are an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB 3200MHz RAM (4x 8GB), an ASUS Radeon RX 6650XT. On the old mb, we had several issuesover the last 2 years with an external Intel Wifi Chip, we built onto the M.2 e-Key slot.

First try was to upgrade from Window 10 pro to Windows 11, but it didn't fixed the Wifi issues and some overheating problems from time to time. So we bought the new motherboard.

Windows and several Steam games run fine with the new setup, but we didn't got the onboard wifi to work. We tried the official fix for this here: https://www.asus.com/de/support/faq/1045135/ and some other tutorials from YT and other hardware related websites (https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/qpjike/asus_tuf_gaming_b550plus_wifi_wifi_not_working/). Nothing works.

The wifi device in the Windows device manager isn't detected as MediaTek wifi controller, but as unknown network controller. There are no wifi settings shown in the windows/network connections. The Bluetooth controller isn't detected at all, but is shown in the windows desktop bar. lol

We tried to deinstall/delete the devices in the device manager and update it, but after 1 second, it founds the unknown controller again.

We also tried to install it via the Armory Crate software. The software detects, that are no software for these controllers/devices are installed. But when I try to download and install it via Armory Crate, it stops the installation process at around 50%, a windows pops up with "installation successfull" but it didn't install the software.

We also tried to install the software for wifi and bluetooth manual, with the latest downloads from the ASUS website. Again, after starting the installtion files (no matter the setup.exe or the .bat) and short after 1 second, it stops. You see a black window for the blink of an eye but then, it disappears and there is no installation.

It seems, that the whole wifi/bluetooth chip on the board isn't working.

Any ideas from the support?

thanks in advance
