Recently i'm upgrading my motherboard from Asrock z270 gaming fatality k6 to Asus Maximus IX Etreme. Why my intel optane isn't detected both in bios and windows ?

I already follow instruction how to enable intel optane from intel website.

And where to download asus rog utilities like gamefirst , rog ramdisk & cache and other utilities. It's not there within your asus download center.

Fyi : i dont properly disable intel optane before, from my previous Asrock sytem, because the motherboard is instantly crashing and black screen.

Hello @Alay

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please provide the model of the Intel Optane, such as the Intel Optane Memory M10 16GB, currently installed and indicate which slot on the motherboard it is installed in?
When performing cross-tests with different slots or enabling Launch CSM in the BIOS, is the Intel Optane recognized in the BIOS?
If you have not yet updated the BIOS to the latest version 1501 for the ROG MAXIMUS IX EXTREME, we recommend updating it and clearing CMOS before checking again.

Regarding software such as ROG RAMDisk, you can find it by selecting "Support" > "Driver & Utility" > "Driver & Tools" on the ROG MAXIMUS IX EXTREME official website and choosing the Windows 10 operating system.

Thank you.

i already updated my bios to 1501 ver. And already cross test with different slot. My Samsung nvme work just fine. Is there a slightly chance that this board not compatible with this type of optane ?

Hello @Alay

May I ask, when you installed the Intel Optane Memory, did you also have another system drive installed?
Did the steps I provided earlier for enabling Launch CSM from [Motherboard] Troubleshooting - Cannot find the hard disk drive or SSD (M.2) after motherboard power... help resolve the issue?
If needed, please also refer to the replies in the related discussion thread for further insights.

Thank you

I'd already buy a new one. Intel Optane M10 16gb. And it's working out just fine.

Either this motherboard doesn't compatible with the 32gb one or my 32gb optane is damaged.

But it's working out just fine, when those 32gb optane attached within my asrock fatality gaming k6.
