So I had issues with the PC not starting up over the weekend. tried clearing CMOS, removing the battery and resetting CMSO but it did not work. I suspected the RAM so I waited for new one to arrive and meanwhile, I have left the PC fully disassembled, CPU, GPU and RAM out, and the PSU disconnected from the motherboard and the CMOS battery removed. Today I received a brand new RAM kit.
Before I installed it I tested the PSU with a multimeter as corsair recommends. I then put the PC back together with the new RAM and the PC started up, got to BIOS and things looked good.
I booted it up fully and went to the OS and updated it and that went fine, went through a power cycle after the update and all looked good.
I left it to have dinner and I'm back now and it won't start. the motherboard seems to be powered, the ROG LED logo turns on(see picture) when the PSU button is pressed on. Also a mobile plugged to a USB port does charge!!.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
