Hello, @pcssg13

Could you please provide the complete motherboard model? For example, ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme or ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme.
We recommend checking the official website, searching for your motherboard model, go to the Support page > Manual & Document > Manual, and downloading the user manual to confirm SSD installation specifications and guidelines.
Additionally, we have another official forum dedicated to discussions on ROG or TUF series products: ROG forum

Thank you.

I’m aware of the insulation manual I did look there. It doesn’t specify though exactly which M.two slots to use if you have two of them one of which is gonna be your main drive and then obviously the other ones going to be your back up drive with all your stuff now I would like for This to run at full speed on both I’m just curious to know which is the right one 2nd I know somebody must know this

Hello, @pcssg13

For the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME, according to page xiii of the user manual, the M.2_2 slot, due to shared bandwidth, will operate at X4 speed if both PCIEX16 slots are occupied.

Also, please refer to the installation instructions for the M.2 slot on page 1-12 and ensure that M.2_2 is enabled in the BIOS.
Meanwhile, except for bandwidth, SSD firmware version and cooling for potential impacts are also considered as various factors in read and write speeds.

Thank you.
