Asus TUF x870 Plus Wi-Fi CPU FAN power limit

I have a cooling Asus TUF LC II 360 and a motherboard Asus TUF x870 Plus WiFi.

Motherboard have 1A 12V CPU fan port

LC have 3 fans with 0.35A 12V and a serial connection cable. So the fans need 1.05A that exceed motherboard limit.

Please, can you tell me how I need to connect fans to motherboard?

And second question. I want to connect 3 more fans to LC. Does CPU OPT port have separate power connection or CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT have shared power limit 1A 12V for two?

Can I connect 3 fans (sum 1.05A 12V) to each of these ports?

Hi,

Connecting the Fans from the TUF LC II 360:
Each fan on your cooler is rated at 0.35A, and the combined current draw of all three fans (1.05A) exceeds the 1A limit of the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard. Connecting all three fans directly to one header risks overloading it, leading to reduced performance or even damage.
To properly set this up:

Use a fan hub(Asus or etc ..) that connects to your PSU for power and routes the PWM signal back to the CPU_FAN header for speed control. This setup ensures that the fans are synchronized while the power draw is handled safely by the PSU.
Alternatively, connect each fan to a separate fan header on your motherboard (e.g., CPU_FAN, CHA_FAN) to distribute the power load.
Adding Three More Fans:
The CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT headers on your motherboard share PWM control but have independent power outputs. Each header can supply up to 1A, so theoretically, you could connect a separate group of fans (up to 1A total) to each header.
However, given your configuration, a powered fan hub is still the recommended solution. This allows all fans to operate in sync without risking motherboard power limits.
good luck.
