BIOS and chipset behavior

The highest measured SM BIOS interrupt or other stall was 224 microseconds. This is considered poor behavior. Your system may have difficulty handling multimedia in real-time and may be subject to unexpected stutters and unresponsive behavior

when it was 1604 it was ok latency between 10-40ms.

i tried reinstalling chipset driver but it did nothing.

could this be a problem from bios itself?

Yes that's my motherboard.  We went through this exercise last year, I supplied all the relevant information (twice) and nothing you suggested worked to make the XMP profile work with the 1220 or 1402 BIOSes.  BIOS 1205 had worked but it wasn't until 1601 was released that XMP worked again.  I updated to 1604 and that worked also.  I am not updating again unless there's some security issue that needs to be fixed.  One of the improvements with 1601 was stated as "Improve DRAM compatibility."

im having the same issue....is it possible to roll back the bios version?

All I can say is I have done it a couple times and didn't have a problem.  I just flashed the older BIOS the same way I'd flash a new one.

Hello, @Nomad11

Could you please specify the model of your motherboard?
What prompted the need to update to the latest BIOS version, such as hardware upgrades or specific feature requirements, and what issues have occurred post-update that are making you consider rolling back the BIOS version?

Thank you.

asus b760m-a d4,I chose to update the bios after i heard theres some issues between intel and the asus mother borads, there were no hardware upgrades the PC is brand new, after the update ive noticed performance decrease games from 130 fps dropped to 100 fps  I rolled back to 1604 and it some what helped but not entirely.
