desktop wont build after new harddrive installed

I recently had to install a new drive as the former one died.  The motherboard is a ASUS Prime B365M-A

The buils will start installing windows for about 5 seconds then gives me bsod...with error code 

STOP CODE: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

WHAT FAILED:   WimFsf.sys

I've checked the ram and the hard drive and both are good. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I'd recommend checking the SATA cables for any damage and ensuring they're securely connected to both the motherboard and hard drive. Sometimes a loose cable can cause BSOD issues during installation. Have you tried using a different SATA port on the motherboard as well?
