Hello,
I have recently received my new asus XG27AQMR and am very happy with the performance.
The one thing bothering me is that the monitor makes a very slight buzzing noise, nearly like a coil whine. I do not really hear it too much when the pc is on. When the monitor is in standby gets louder.
Is this normal or should i be worried?

Hi @anton1337 ,
When an electronic device is working, sometimes you might hear a “beep” noise and it’s not coming from the speakers or the fans.
This kind of high-pitched noise is called “Coil Whine”.
It may occur in the design of today's high-power computer products, and is neither a hardware defect nor affecting the device.
It will not affect the hardware, you can use it with confidence.
If you find high-frequency sounds bothersome, we recommend reducing the screen refresh rate to see whether the sound wil reduce.
Thank you.

hey, thanks for the reply.
based on your description I would say it's a coil whine yes.
It mostly makes this when it's in standby mode, how does the refresh rate affect that?
I am just worried that some connectors are loose, which could cause a fire hazard or something. sorry not an electrician
