Rog string gaming e bios update

I updated the bios to newest version. Old version was a very early one. Update because I plan to get a 5700x3d.

Anyway the system now boots directly into the bios. Doesnt boot windows and I saw something about no bootable device found. But the drives are listed in sata or m2 slots so detected.

What is causing this? I am on win 10 still. Without secure boot. Could this be ftpm and secure boot related? I saw no option to deactivate secure boot? Only "other os or "windows uefi".

Hi @cbloom ,

Thank you for contacting us.

Regarding the issue you're experiencing where your computer cannot boot properly after updating the BIOS and displays the error message "No bootable device found", we would like to gather more information.

Please provide the following information so we can better assist you:

  1. Product Model: What is the exact model of your computer? Is it a desktop PC?
  2. BIOS Settings: We recommend that you re-enter the BIOS setup and check the following: Boot Order: Please ensure that your hard drive is set as the first boot device.
Secure Boot: If your BIOS has a Secure Boot option, please try disabling it.

If you are using an ASUS NUC product, please refer to the following FAQ for more detailed troubleshooting steps: [NUC] “No Boot Device Found” or “A Bootable Device Has Not Been Detected” Message on an NUC Product ...

If the issue persists after making the above adjustments, please provide the following information:

  1. Status before updating BIOS: Was your computer working normally before updating the BIOS?
  2. BIOS update method: How did you update the BIOS? Through the ASUS official website, EZ Flash 3 utility, or other methods?

Thank you.
