Hi guys, I have a px13. I am trying to figure out if the usbc displayport can connect directly to the rtx4060 dGPU and bypass the igpu since I'm interested in trying VR goggles with it and they need a usbc port that directly connects to the dGPU via a hardware switch (the igpu must be bypassed otherwise the googles won't work).
So far, I can see from display properties that the HDMI does indeed connect directly to rtx4060 since it's being shown as the active graphics card in use when connecting an external display. However when connecting an external monitor via usbc to HDMI, it shows the integrated graphics card as the active one being used and not the dgpu... In the bios I can't find any option to force dGPU only to be used. I checked windows display graphics settings, and there's an option to force per app which GPU is used. However, does that mean the usbc displayport will bypass igpu or not if I use this dropdown to force dGPU per app? Or will the usbc displayport always have the iGPU on the signal path?
I've tried both the left and right usbc port. I understand the right port is the one that's supposed to have displayport yet it still connects to the integrated GPU. Would it switch the hardware connection to the dGPU the moment I run a game or VR software?
Is there any reliable way I can check?
Thanks

May I know the full model number of the laptop you are using?

Hi thanks for the reply.
It's HN7306WV-BB92T-CB.
So I actually bought a meta quest 3 and it uses USB I believe (for wired pcvr) instead of USB displayport, and the meta quest link apps seem to run flawlessly however steam VR is like 1 fps even in menus. Is there some way I can check steam VR is not using the integrated GPU?
Would also appreciate it if you have some way to check if there is direct to dGPU usbc displayport functionality, thank you 🙂
