Google Phone app support - Request

Google seems to be letting other non-Google phones download their Phone app from the Play Store. Can we get support for it on ROG Phone 2? It has better features and integrates better. It doesn't appear as a support device on the Play Store and the latest APK fails to install.
Google Phone app now available on Play Store for some non-Pixel phones"XDA dug deeper and found that the Phone app requires the dialer's shared library to be present on the phone, which it is not on Samsung and OnePlus devices."
Even the Zenfone 6 can install it.

As someone pointed out in the comments. Here is the reason to have it over any other Phone app.

Why not just use Google apps? we will get more updates on the apps. We have to wait so long before updates and so on and that may make the updates go live faster with less work for the asus team. And don't make the locked! I want to be able to use what ever app I want and don't want to have stuff that's useless.

Most Google apps work already
The only one that is not compatible with ROG2 is Google phone app. Interestingly it is compatible with zenfone 6 but not rog2 even though the two are quite similar in software.

I know they work but I will be able to deactivate asus own apps. I don't see any reason to use them, Google or other companies have more stuff better looking and better working apps.

No, google doesnt support that. And secondly even if they did, it wouldnt work on as Call recording requires system access (meaning only preloaded system apps can do it).

And to answer why ROG2 doesnt have it - please be patient.

Edit: it is not like this working is a very common thing. Far from all devices will support Google Phone app.
