@zxops47 Which capture card do you have connected to the ROG Phone 5? Your phone will match the frame rate of your capture card. If the throughput of your capture card is limited to 60 Hz, your phone will default to that value as well.
Other mobile can do it but rog phone cant why. 120 fps capture card are rare and expensive
Your request is illogical and your new comment irrelevant and you don't answer the question about what equipment you have.
1- You are asking for a function that is automatic and works, why do you want to deactivate the 60 hz to re-adjust it to 60 hz???
2- Why talk about rare and expensive 120 hz cards/boxes when your request is 60 hz?
3 - Fps is a more appropriate term isn't it?
You should re-write your request and have your entourage read it before reposting it and indicating your material.
But why are other mobiles such as oneplus and samsung able to handle 2 different refreshrates? Shouldnt this be a high priority on gaming phones?
Every time we have this discussion, other brands are mentioned as being able to separate the two refresh rates in a way that ROG Phones don't. So far we've tested with OP and Red Magic and have gotten the same results as we do with our own devices.
It's not that I don't believe you, but I'm asking for examples (brand and model) where the refresh rates are indeed shown to be separated.
Welp, I took the words people were saying as a fact but it seems you're correct. No Phone can actually handle 2 different refreshrates, I believe the confusion stems from the misunderstanding that some people see a 120hz passthrough capable elgato card running and think that the 60hz ones should be able to do the same.
Do let me know though if you should stumble across an example of separated refresh rates, OEM-made or custom ROM.
How do they stream pubg on 90hz on 60fps elgato but gaming phone can't
they don't, either they stream on a PC or elgato supporting 120hz+ passthrough capable card at 60fps.
120hz+ you mean above 120hz have you tried it. I never seen anyone on yt using capture card above 60hz on rog 5 and will it need type c to hdmi which supports 120fps which i never seen. Don't want to waste money
Type C only tranfsers the data. It has more than enough to push for 120fps 1080p, you need HDMI 2.0 connection and a 120hz+ passthrough capture card.
120FPS gameplay via capture card. It works just fine as long your card supports 120hz passthrough
And here you can see 120FPS ingame, hz option greyed out due to capture card connection as well.
So as you can see, there is absolutely no problem.
So your using Elgato 4K60 Pro not Elgato HD60 S+ and any type c to hdmi adapter will work
Last question does connecting to video output capture have extra load on gpu cpu
Im not using elgato. But the 4k60pro will yield the same result.
Not any type-c cable. It has to be hdmi 2.0 or better and it needs to have the connections needed for phones. Some cables only work on notebooks.
I would love to recommend my equimemt but sadly its cheap rebranded stuff, so i cannot find it online to.give you links.
I am not sure its 120fps since rog phone only support 90fps (120 only on loading screen) 😁
I play on 120fps. CODM thinks my rog is sony xperia, long story but I managed to make it do it.
You Use Gltool ? If it's other pls tell me too
