I'm done with asus I think... 1st one very few updates, 2nd one same issue. Between 1 & 2 neither support at&t volte or vowifi. $2000 spent on 2 phones & neither will work as a phone because of carrier requirements soon. They lack network coverage bands. They need to release new model 2-3 years apart & focus on customer support instead of basically 1 yr support. apple, Samsung do a lot better with updates.
Yeah the problem with buying a phone with such good specs that it will last too long is that ASUS have to find another way to get you to keep buying phones. It's not supposed to be a yearly subscription *rolls eyes*
Precisely. But still I won't buy Samsung, if they insist with their garbage exynos cpu's. There are many other options if I decide to give 1000 US for a phone again. All I want is proper monthly updates and at least 2 android updates. I mean a "real" flagship phone that deserves 1000 USD. Not a "pseudo" flagship like ROG 2. That was my mistake though. I believed that ROG 1 will get 2 android updates. ASUS deceived me.
No, Samsung only use Snapdragon in USA and few other regions. They "only" use exynos in Europe and most Asian countries. (so that means 90% of world use exynos, not snapdragon)
Oh I know that, but I didn't know they only sold them region specific I thought all users had a choice of the two like here in Australia they charge a little more for the snapdragon and sell both variants
Now there are so many devices running Android 11 now that if someone sends me smiling emoji with tear, it's a unsupported box on system panel or Instagram or Twitter or chrome unless I'm using Google messages or whatsapp or facebook messanger.

Well many rog devices die on their own too.
You have ro replace motherboard then.
Just check this forum itself. Phones died while using whatsapp, charging phone, sitting idle.
Asus doesn't make stable mobile products. We are beta testers for them. Rog 2 users specially.

100! Man. Agreed.
you know samsungs use snapdragon too? or do you not have them in your region?
In some regions like India they only sell Exynos models which cost way more than what you can pick up a rog for

Oh no problem I actually didn't know that and yeah I wouldn't get an exynos either they're pretty rubbish
You can get any devices from s21 series of you have budget (Exynos 2100) there is still a difference but not a huge one like previous Exynos devices.
It's still crap compared to the Snapdragon counterpart especially the gpu
Unless samsung makes the amd gpu thing work there's no dethroning adreno as of now especially not by the mali crap Exynos uses
Btw the exynos heats up,throttles/drop frames and lags in genshin impact cutscenes

It's just dreadful experience nowdays
That's neat. Just what we need in every country though.
If they do this noone would buy exynos variant. Samsung knows this better than anyone.
They know their exynos is shit. Just don't want to admit it. They only admit it 2 months ago.
