My laptop Ethernet port had issue so I bought a Lenovo USB-C Ethernet adapter with 3 additional USB ports. Today I tried to plug it into Zenfone 6, Surprise, Ethernet port works ok and usb port works fine(I insert one usb thumb drive).

Tried plugging onto OnePlus 5 phone, none of them works.
