[ROG Phone 3] New Feature - Bypass Charging!

Hi all!

With the new firmware update rolling out WW starting from Sep 21 , version below, we are also introducing a new feature in Game Genie
17.0823.2008.70

The 'Bypass Charging' feature is added to Game Genie, and can be enabled in-game , to temporarily allow power to the system by plugging in the charger , yet not charge the battery. This feature can prevent system from heavily draining battery while playing games yet avoid the charging of the battery which can in instances introduce extra heat.
Added “Bypass charging” feature in the in-game Game Genie panel. Allows you to power the system without charging the battery.

So i tried bypass charging while playing and sadly it wasn't working and idk why, the phone battery before playing was 63% and after i done playing it was 76% ( which shouldn't have happening ) also the device temperature was hot as u can see , as usually even with charging my device temperature doesn't rose more than 41°c

I wasnt playing. Yet to test that feature. But won't until I know how it affects all the internal components. Have a lot of questions. @CH_ASUS

* Does the phone run on AC power constantly.

* Does the phone heat up more than usual when doing the same activity, in turn causing frame drops.

* What are the long term effects, if there are any?

* what if I am on 100% does the battery stays at 100%, similarly if i am on 1% battery what happens.

As we have this feature I would not shy away and ask, can have some graphs in battery section or somewhere to check how much time bypass feature was used?

Thats what I questioned about but didn't get reply. I was excited for this. But if they want users to test new features then I can't say anything.

is this feature supposed to work only with proprietary Asus hypercharger charger or work with powerbank with PD as well?

Sounds like they haven't even tested the software properly before releasing it to the public. Sigh.
