Mobile data not connecting

I have put my old SIM into my new Asus Zenfone 8. Phone, text, wifi is all working but mobile data is not connecting.

What settings do I need to update to fix this. I've tried turning it off and on again. I'm somewhere where there is good network coverage. My SIM card is quite old - could this be the problem?

    I had the same on my vacation. Bought SIM, activate it but no internet. You need to add APN. Maybe ASUS didn't include needed APN settings for your cellphone provider. So check your APN settings first.

  • I've had to change a Sim card for that exact reason. Mine got corrupted somehow anyway for a $ replacement Sim it's worth a try as long as you APN settings are correct

    @penny_t2 Search settings and make sure you have the correct APN (access point names) settings:

    If you're unsure what the correct APN settings for your carrier are, you can check their website or contact them directly.
