Correct warranty won't cover it, when it comes to the price of the replacement nobody knows for sure as prices vary depending on repair center. It's best to ask your nearest service center of the price, or even DIY, as it seems ASUS is selling replacement parts direcly.
In India i got 18k but its listed as 12k on official website , so something is wrong somewhere
Hi Jaganmohan,
You can check the support site for the pricing. The pricing is for reference only and will change as and when an update is needed.
If you face any challenges do let me know.
You should have questioned the svc. Even I was asked 2.5x the price for the sub-board. After I showed them proper proof, they agreed on the pricing.
Update, today i asked service centre and i got 13k price , i guess the guy before gave me wrong prices
i don't think he mentioned the wrong price. that's called shady practices. ideally, an authorized centre should be aware of the prices. it's obvious these guys are not monitored by ASUS properly.
Hi All,Thanks for your response. I went to service center today. Current display charge they quoted was 12765 and 2885 Gst.And the total was 15650
This is accurate as many here have complained about exacly such practives especially in the asian region. Some user reported that ASUS service centers are being shut down, I assume ASUS plans to completely overhaul the service centers in that region due to problems and just bad work. I have read how 16GB models have been downgraded to 12GB models, how phones havent been assembled properly, extremely long waiting times, cannot be bothered to take phones half the time, based on who you ask you get new story and so on. It all seems to be the same area as well, you do not hear many from the western countries complaining about service centers at all.
