I think it's a reminder for the gestures activation. There is the same line on a Samsung A40.
There are many threads with such requests & answers in forum you can have a look.
But let me tell you that ZENUI follows stock Android's pixel like design and so it is a default behaviour with Android 11 which cannot be changed until Google does it with stock android design on pixels.
So, for now Gesture Navigation bar will remain as it is.
The gesture bar follows stock Android implementation.
However not only that, it also serves as a point of reference when swiping left/right to switch apps.
Removing it would remove that functionality as well
It is not "useless" as such.
i see... still would be nice to have an option to remove it, maybe you can add that to some suggestion pool?
or you could remove the white little bar but leave everything else just so it would not burn into screen
I use the swiping left/right to switch apps very often, so for me, that bar is very useful
