Hello, could it be turned off? Thank you
No, this is default stock Android pixel like behaviour in which gesture navigation bar cannot be hidden or eliminated.
If google does it with pixel devices than there is possibility ASUS might consider it in future.
I would like it to go off ... :-)
hm, from all android phones what I saw, all have this line with gestures enabled
xiaomi goes off. They have a choice.
Because they dont have close to stock Android approach.
ASUS follows Google for ZENUI design on that matter. as i have mentioned earlier.
Someone mentioned the Pixels could hide it on A10 (not sure on A11).
It was only hidden on Homescreen
I would much prefer for it to be gone as well. The looks of it is plain intrusive considering that the phone has nice rounded edges, but this bar breaks this appearance on the bottom. It does not fit with the sleek design in my opinion. For whatever reason the apps control the color of the top bar but not the bottom bar, it just remains black. At least make it change color depending on top bar color.
Oh wow. Just remove it completely. It is literally pointless and useless with gesture navigation. Might have to resort to rooting this phone soon tbh.
They hanged the line below the screen for no use at all, or even when writing we see how high the keyboard is because of this line @ Can the company send an update to cancel this tape or make it optional
It's not because of the line. This space is needed to not activate the home gesture every time you press the spacebar.
And the line is there because of a reason. If your phones orientation locks, then this line will show you from which side you should swipe.
good reason...:-) still please shut down. Or give a choice
Before I owned an Asus phone, I had a Huawei phone, or when I activated gesture navigation, this font disappears forever and the typing keyboard drops to the bottom of the phone completely without any problems
It's still pointless cos the only way to get back to the homescreen even with the spacebar there is with a swipe up gesture from the bottom. It's not like a user will ever accidentally swipe up from the bottom (or on the spacebar) while typing.
As for orientation, what do you mean? The gesture is still to swipe from the bottom. So if you're on landscape, you still have to swipe up from the physically longer edge of the phone as that is now the bottom. Why would a user need a visual indication of which is the bottom?
I flashed omnirom and there goes off. She looks very nice. No line. It would be good to turn it off. Do you think there is any hope?
As fas as i know ,you can hide the pill using adb through pc , but dont ask me the commands as I dont know those , google it
That's how I tuned it. Thanks for advice...;-)
What method did you do to hide the line ???
"Swipe up gesture navigation" is one method where you can hide and use full screen expereince. if you have it in system navigation method. I am not sure if Zenfone 7/7pro had it with Android 11.
That is exactly what this thread is about. The swipe gesture system navigation (instead of button navigation) leaves a horizontal line indicator on the bottom of the screen that just takes up space for really no good reason at all.
