Asus ROG Phone 3 Fingerprint Scanner Not Working

After receiving a new phone from Asus due to unable to fix an issue under warranty, the new phone skips the part where I actually add a fingerprint. I have added screenshots of software and hardware versions as well as a screen recording of how the process fails. I have made sure the software is up to date and also have done a factory reset as well.

I actually posted the exact same problem. Hopefully an update to Android 11 will fix the issue. I never got a response.
This issue is most probably a hardware defect. try resetting the phone and see if it fixed
Yeah I'm hoping it's a software issue cause of its hardware I'm not sure I want to go through the warranty process again. It was the worst experience I've ever had (in regards to warranties)
I have done a factory reset with no luck, I updated my post to reflect that. I really hope it's not a hardware issue. I assume it is at this point though.
did you install a custom ROM and got back to the official ROM?
OP can you go to your calculator and click "12345+=" then click single test on the finger sensor. This will determine if your hardware is functioning properly.
Mine works fine thus narrowing it down to a software thing.
I too have done multiple factory resets and it didn't solve the issue.
No the phone is completely stock
Ok cool thank you. Yes I just did that and it seems to be working fine. So I guess it's a software thing and just need to wait for future updates?
I having the same issue since I got the phone back from repair for screen replacement.
I am in the same situation brother. Sent to get repaired under the warranty, and ever since I got it back, the fingerprint scanner does not work. Have done every possible thing. But no answers from the company on this issue at all. Very disappointed on that side. Hopefully it is something fixed in a software update @ASUS Bot @Titan_ASUS @Laura_ASUS
Can anybody with custom firmware comment on their experience with anything like this? Just curious if I'll have to cross that line if the Android 11 update doesn't work out.

Was there ever a solution on this? My mom's phone is having the exact same issue. She got the screen replaced after she dropped it and it's failing at the same point as the op. She actually just got the phone back after sending it back in to specifically have the fingerprint scanner fixed and they kept it for a month and sent it back with the same issue. I've factory reset the thing quite a few times and diagnostics is still saying that the fingerprint reader works.
For what it's worth, I have the same phone from launch and mine still works fine/allows me to register fingerprints still.
No mine is still messed up and won't register fingerprints
