No black crash

Why everybody has too much black crush.
I have the global version. In the last 3 updates, I have much fewer black issues. I get it 1 time per week and all I do is set the screen to 60hz when I watch a video and the screen back to normal.

Oh great, so we just need to switch refresh rates everytime we watch a video. This is very convenient for us ROG Phone 3 users. wow!
Sarcasm aside, most of us want everything to permanently move in 144hz. No auto refresh rate, no 60hz, no 120hz, just pure 144hz. You're ok with using 60hz, that's good. But don't expect us to settle when we paid a premium for this partially disappointing phone.
Media consumption is capped at 60hz,but browsing instagram etc. Is best enjoyed on 160 Hz which has the most black crush
Although in gaming there is not black crush just cause most games are capped to 60hz
I don't get a black crush often.
And the auto change HZ Is really bad on rog phone. when the brightness "under 70=60fps" "70+% =90fps"
You don't get black crush often because you use 60hz (which is a common workaround). This is like saying you rarely get into accidents because you always drive below the speed limit. Black crush is amplified on high refresh rates and people want high refresh rates because the phone is made for it! It's only natural that complaints would surface. Does this answer your question?
no, I use 144 Hz and I don't get it often. I get it 1 time per week or something like that. and when I get it when I am watching a video or movie. I set the screen to 60 Hz
flawed logic. Hilarious. 😂😂
First you say all you do is set the screen to 60hz and you get black crush 1 time per week. Now you're saying you also use 144hz. You make absolutely no sense.
What game is this?
Thats a video at 120hz.
My logic is correct, for YouTube and Netflix which is what people mostly use,or even Amazon
But I'm wondering what kind of video supports 120hz I've never seen anything like it
Do share it,if it's an app I would insta download it
I am facing heavy black crush issue on my phone and I can't keeping lying about it just to defend asus. This issue is not acceptable at all.
All media is supported if it's recorded in 120hz. Games are the best option as they can be pushed to higher refresh rates easily.
Search for 120hz videos and view on local player. I am using mxplayer.
No, read carefully. I use the phone on 144 Hz all the time. and I don't get a black crush often.
And if I get it I set the screen to 60 Hz.
What version do you have global or china version?
I get it 1 time per week and all I do is set the screen to 60hz when I watch a video and the screen back to normal.
No, you read carefully. This is what you typed. Any normal person can interpret this as you getting black crush once a week/less often BECAUSE of you setting the screen to 60hz.
Yeah 60 hz have no black crush. But its not okay to use a 144 hz capable phone at 60 hz even if you do this while watching videos. Thats not the experience im expecting from asus. But , there noticeable improvement after latest update. I hope asus fix this Completely in android 11 ans OnePlus 8 screen problems are fixed in android 11
I hope they can fix it with a software update.
To me the black crush is not visible when using screen balance app. I turn it on only when watching movies. In other cases like watching videos on youtube black crush is tolerable.
Black crush along with Red tint is available at all refresh rates. It's visible below 50% brightness. Asus has to fix this ASAP along with Android 11 or else has to replace the units
So black crush pay a visit to your phone once a week and then go away?
