Beta 3 is better than beta 2. But you can't upgrade directly to beta 3 from beta 2, firstly you have to downgrade to .063 or .407 firmware then you can upgrade to the latest build. But if you directly upgrade from beta 2 there will be lots of bugs in your phone like many of the users are facing but if you upgrade from 063 firmware this update is really a better update.
Do downgrading erasing data on phone?
Do downgrading erasing all the data on phone?
Please share the link or provide steps to downgrade to android 9
Upgraded to beta 3 (.429) from beta 2(.424) simply by downloading the file from Indian Asus website and pasted in the internal storage directly and restarted the phone, got the pop up to update the phone.
Yes, there are some bugs, but as per my beta 2 experience they are gradually becoming negligible and the software is getting improved.
If u find any problem just restart the phone once and see if problem exists. If yes then it's major problem which will be taken care.
In developer version, the bugs may occur but won't be long.
Yes, just like updating from android 9 to android 10.
I have .082 firmware . Will it be better to update to beta 3?
Yes, it will be better to update to beta 3 from 082 firmware.
And this latest 429 firmware is more stable than earlier firmwares e.g.,082,424, etc.
Hi saitejaakula ,
Yes, downgrade will erase all data. You can find the downgrade file and instructions under "Version MaxProM1_downgrade_to_9" on our support site: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/ZenFone%20Max%20Pro(M1)(ZB601KL)/HelpDesk_BIOS/
System downgrade will wipe all the personal data, please backup your important data before system downgrade.
Steps of Update:
1. Prepare a MicroSD card.
2. Check software version of your device**
3. Only apply to same SKU update, Example: WW->WW, CN->CN, TW->TW, ID->ID.
4. Software update cannot transfer the software SKU.
5. Wrong SKU may cause update failure, please update the same SKU version only.
6. How to manual update firmware please refer to
