Sd card only formatted as portable storage & Sim card not readable

I cannot format Sd Card as internal storage in Zenfone Max Pro M1, only getting option for formatting as portable storage.

Also, Sim card is not readable.

Could you please let me know solution to resolve this issue so that I can use SD Card as internal storage

Hi, I am ghetting the same on Zenfone Max Pro M2 (build number PKQ1.WW_Phone-16.2017.2007.094-20200705).
It's an issue for security and my work will cut off my access to work applications end of September because of this security risk. If I have to start carrying two phone, there is no point in having a dual SIM phone...

Does it really takes months to look into this problem? This is a serious drawback. I hope an answer is given soon even if a solution hasn't been found yet.
