Doesn't affect functioning but since the December OTA my charge light stays on for about 10 seconds then turns off. Charging continues normally.
Is DND enabled or disabled?
What is dnd? Im askin cuz my zf6 has been in shop for almost 3 weeks cuz mobo died an I'm told it will come back to me with A10 installed an this new update comes an seems to mess things up even more.... So 8m kinda out of the loop here
If you mean do not disturb, nope. I never use that. I checked just to make sure.

I cannot confirm with the latest WW_17.1810.1911.110 for Charging and Fast charging.
What if it has some hidden meaning, perhaps this indicates an error. I wonder what Asus moderators will say.
In new update with battery care on, the led will turn off when battery reached 80% and it will come back on when start charging again
I'm reporting it goes off at any percentage for me. I don't really care much as it continues to charge.
Very strange. I reported the issue.
Do you have Battery Care turned on or not?
Okay, so try this, suppose it's 8:00 AM, Set Battery Care On from 7:00 AM to 10 PM and charge up to 80% when charging automatically stops, check the LED's behavior and report here, then disconnect the phone. Turn the Battery Care Off, discharge below 80%, then try charging it normally and rechecking how the LED will behave and report here if problem persist.
Tried that but no different.
Battery was in 50s. Turned on battery care and plugged in. Light turned off after 10 to 20 seconds. Charged till 81% (the battery care thing doesn't stop the charging, though I've never went past 82%). Let phone go down to 78%. Plugged in and light stayed on for about 15 seconds.
Too bad it didn't help but at least we tried.
Hmmm I'll have to test it but I'm currently plugged into a fast charge charger and the light is staying on.
Edit - using the same cord attached to 2.4 amp charging port (same charger) the light turns off. I usually avoid fast charging because I don't need it and to keep the temp lower. Maybe it is a current or voltage thing?
Huh. Please next time post these important details in OP. So you don't use original charger and cable, right?
Using same chargers I was using on pie. I have chargers in 2 vehicles, at work, in the kitchen, basement, living room, bedroom so no I don't use the factory charger everywhere. And as I mentioned I try to avoid fast charging. Don't you think if I had known this fact before making the OP I would have posted it? All those chargers worked before and should work now lol (and do work other than the led not staying on).
All those chargers worked before and should work now lol
I agree, I also use many different chargers, the original Asus I use at home, I use another non-original QC3 at work, I also charge from different laptops I have at home and at work. However, nowhere do I have your problem, the charging LED shines as it should for the entire charging period (unless the Battery Care is On, charging takes place within the set time period in Battery Care options and battery capacity reached 80 ~ 81%). So it is not an issue that affects everyone.
Unfortunately, it is normal here that an error is often reported in one sentence, but the conditions under which the error occurs are'nt specified. This is always very important, such as system version, use of original components or others, use of cover / case / screen protector, unlocked bootloader, root, changes in Developer options, nonstandard Launcher, Dialer, ...
I don't want to criticize you, because it will happen to me sometimes. I myself forgot to mention in another thread that I use Google Phone - Google Dialer when someone complained about the default Asus Calling screen and I argued that it works fine for me.
When something is not working for someone and it works for another user it is always very laborious to find out why this is so, why the experience is so different. Because of those possible differences between configurations, there are so many.
Understood lol. I didn't think to mention it likely for the same reason nobody else that tried to help asked for that detail. Merry Christmas.
When the charging symbol shows a "+", the problem that the LED light is off (only the indicator light is off and does not affect charging) will be improved in future updates.
Refer to the moderator response linked below:
I've only tested it with one charger so far but it seems to work since the update to 119.
