Charge the Asus Rog Phone 2 without the "fast charging" feature. Is it possible?

Hi!
Because of several research I made on the internet, I found that fast charging your phone is not good for the lifespam of the battery. I cannot quote the reasons since I'm no expert on the matter, but the conclusion I reached was basically that one.
So starting from the premise that what I concluded is correct, I wanted to know if there's an option on the settings to turn fast charging off so that I can healthily charge my phone at night when I don't need any fast chargin process going on. Is that possible? If yes is the answer, how can I do it?
Thanks in advance.

Well use a slow charger and your research is true fast charging degrades the battery
I know but I wanted to avoid that haha. Thanks for your confirmation.
Go to settings, power master, battery care, and set up the time over night whe you want the phone to charge slower. I have set it to terminate at 7am as I wake at 6.30. So the phone is still not 100% charged when I wake up.
Oh interesting.... I have some questions if you don't mind:
Thats all. Thank you!
A large DOD and SOC of 100% is much more damaging compared to "fast charging".
Read this:https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
You can use the built-in powermaster feature to stop your phone from charging over 80% and extend the life cycle of the battery significantly.
I don't know much about batteries to be honest, I read a lot of articles and watch videos but when I check the dates the articles were written like 4 years or 2 years ago and the videos too. Telling me to keep the battery at 40% to 80% or even 65% to 75% but the thing is technology is rapidly changing so I am not sure if those articles or videos are even relevant anymore.
Currently I am keeping my phone at 85% to 100% of course my eyes are glued on the phone because once it hits 100% I stop charging immediately and just use the phone until the next charge.
Not sure if I am doing it right. some of you might probably say...I am digging my phone's battery grave way too early...
But my phone is not hot at all when I keep it 85% to 100% when charging...compared to when I charge it from say 60% to 80%...
so can someone who is expert on this shed some light for me ? oh yea my battery temp while charging from 85% to 100% is 28.7 degrees Celsius.
The rules I have only created for myself to keep the batteries cool even while charging it and to stop charging immediately after it reaches 100%
Study the link in my previous post and you will understand why keeping you battery at a higher charge level is not beneficial for the battery life cycle.
The subject of the link that I sent are lithium based batteries, the same ones you are using in your phone.
What does DOD and SOC stand for?
depth of discharge and State of charge
Hey! I set the battery care option on and realized that It took less than an hour to charge from 40% to 80%, but it's taking a long time charging It from that point on. Is that normal?
40% to 80% still under quick charge
80% onwards to 100% (100% on screen is not actual) normal and slow charging.
it is normal and there is no need to worry.
After 80% it is still fast charging.
You can check it in the SOC graph.
The only function of the powermaster feature is to make sure that the phone spends less time above 80% when you charge it overnight.
This is how I do it. I have set time between 23:00 and 7:00. I wake at 6:30. At that time I see my phone charged at 80-86%. Than I wait until 7:00 to unplug it, or unplug it immediately, based on the info written above. When I put it on charger after 23:00 and continue to play Asphalt, I see it charge fast to 80%. Then it stops to charge. If I have to wake up earlier for work, like 5am, I see the phone still at 80%. Basically during the scheduled time the system will not let it charge over 80% until the scheduled time is close to the end. As I wrote above, normally at 6:30, half an hour before the scheduled period ends, the phone is at 86%. It's a very clever system which is keeping the battery healthy. If I have to charge it during the day, I just put it on a charger for half an hour or an hour, depending how empty the battery is. Never charge it completely. I normally charge when battery shows 10%.
I just want to make it clear that all suggestion about our battery care function has already been lifted by several users at multiple occasions and sent to our devs. They are aware of what you want :)
Thank you!
