What is the Android Preview Program?

Android Preview Program lets users experience the newest Android system at the first stage and help us find and fix bugs. Since it is a preview version that may has some unexpected bugs, please deliberate before joining in this program.

Is the preview software confidential? How do I provide my feedback?

Yes, everything about preview software is confidential. Please do not publicly post information about the preview software, and don’t discuss or demonstrate it to others who are not in this program. A new board on ASUS official forum, ZenTalk, will be exclusively accessible by users who participate in this program. If you have any questions or bugs to report, please create a thread in this board for further help.

Will installing preview software void my hardware warranty?

No, your phone will not lose original warranty after this preview software installed.

How do I know if I have successfully enrolled in the Android Preview Program?

If you are chosen to be enrolled in the program, we will send an e-mail to you. However, if you are not enrolled, you will not be informed by any further notice. (To avoid you miss the e-mail, please check the e-mail address registered in ASUS Member is up-to-date.)

How do I leave the Android Preview Program and get prior software restored on my device?

Please submit your request by replying the notice mail.

How do I signup for the Beta Program?

Go to [Setting] > [System] > [System update] and click the gear icon at the top-right corner. Click "Enroll in Android preview Program" in the Settings.

 

• Click "Agree" after reading the preview program notice and ASUS privacy policy.
• Sign up ASUS member account and fill in the beta test application.
• Click "Submit". (Before the recruitment is closed, you can withdraw it on this page anytime.

We are in the preview or beta program.

When the official version comes out, they will announce it on the announcement forum (release notes), as they did with Zenfone 10, which is now officially available to all users.

Got ahold of Asus customer support here in Sweden. Asked if they could give me the .204 update but for some reason they couldnt. They just said ill have to wait until its up on their website, they didnt even know when it would be available. Asus sucks frl.

Also had the Germany support on the phone a few minutes ago. Beside that the guy itself was very friendly, it brought nothing to the table. He also could not find a newer version that the 142 in their system which is fully because the A14 beta requires to have (the latest) 204 update. He also did not know if and when it would appear on their website either. He suggested me to open a RMA process which I did, but I also told him that a return of the phone would be just stupid. Furthermore i've sent another mail to the customer service but honestly I do not have much hope. It is really hard to understand how such big company's survive, but maybe that's how it work. Coming back from my forth and last call with the Asus support. Again it was always the same and really friendly guy, not blaming him for the inability of the company.

Anyways, as conclusion they are not able (or willing) to help, no more updates will be provided on the homepage for the Z9 (at least on the German site). I can send it back and get it "fixed" from their staff on my charges... Any questions?

But it seems that finally someone uploaded the 204 firmware on reddit, see here

Will try it the next days, have nothing too lose 🙂
