URGENT: Really poor call quality, people on other side can't hear

People on other side keep saying that they can hardly hear me through Zenfone 9, it keeps cutting out. However I do hear them fine.  Why on earth has Asus not fixed this yet? How can you live with such a frustrating phone where you can't even make phone calls properly?? What's interesting is that if they call me back there's less disturbance, it may be a clue for you.

I also don't have Volte/4g calling option under settings>network & internet>call even though it's available on other devices using same sim!

I have the same problem. People I am talking to can barely hear me, it keeps jittering. Calling through internet apps - viber, messenger etc works just fine, so it is not the microphones fault...

I had the same issue - the people I called failed to hear a thing and I heard them clearly.
I followed the advice of a YouTuber and removed the Google Voice Assistant. Since doing so, I haven't encountered this problem again. I hope this solution works for you too.

Yes im having the same issue. Everything about this phone is awesome except for this issue. I'm gettgin rid of the phone because of this basic issue. Asus wont fix it. i'm tired of having to call people back so they can hear me again,.

I'll try that google voice assistant disable and see how i go

There's another thread on this which they've shamelessly locked and I can no longer reply. They asked for my network provider. I say there's no reason for them to know because I've used same exact sim on few other phones for quite some time but never faced an issue where other side failed to hear.

Once while this problem was occurring I connected a wired headphone and other side could hear again. Looks like the physical mic (of the phone) stops working sometimes few minutes into the call. Or maybe they tried to implement some form of noise cancelling for mic but overdone it. Most likely a software issue. If it was hardware issue then how can so many people have this problem?
