iot wifi configuration apps not working on zenfone9

Frequency of Occurrence: tested on two different things/apps
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): Neato and Tibber

Alot of apps wants to connect to a internet of things device wifi hotspot to configure its wifi connection settings. When connected to the things wifi hotspot the zenfone will not be able to search for other wifi hotspots. Then you will not be able to select a wifi to finish the configuration of the device.
(My non asus android tablet worked as expected in both tested apps)
