You are right.
But I received this information TODAY by email and that post is also from today.
It is the last explanation they have given.
And my personal comment is that the .65 was the official A13 update, but they ran into the problem of Google Wallet and launched the .73 when they tried it very little (I'm in the Beta program and it came before the general public than the testers).
