I do face this. After a motherboard death and replacement, I only use it as a backup phone. Keeping high performance mode it dies within about half a day, even when just sitting there idle.

Must be bad algorithm or maybe because there is no sim card the network kills it, idm.

Best of luck... Even if this were a documented issue they will never ever address it.

I'm also facing similar issues on my ZenFone 8  especially with battery drain even when the phone is idle. It’s frustrating because everything else about the device works fine, but this drain affects daily usage.

Some users in that post have shared temporary workarounds like disabling certain background apps or tweaking battery optimization settings. I hope ASUS looks into this seriously and rolls out a fix soon.
