Give it time. I felt a little like that with the zenfone 7 but I have to say since the last update All the bugs ( at least mine) have been dealt with plus the battery life has been extended to a great level.
The zenfones are their,, flagship product,,so they do get it right, just not right away.
Patients lad patients or you could just go iPhone but who wants a piece of crap like an iPhone???
PS the zenfone 5z and 6 were the same story, slow to start but great when finished
