USB-C charging socket, Zenfone 8

Is it possible that the USB-C charging socket wears out very quickly and the charging cable no longer holds? I have to admit that I bought the phone used as a display piece and also charged it while navigating in the car. The cell phone was exposed to strong vibrations in the cell phone holder while driving. - That's probably why, but I didn't think it could be a problem.

Hi @boazbo

Since the USB charging port is very fragile, I recommend you reach out to your nearest service center for advice on how to clean or troubleshoot the issue you're facing.

Most probably it accumulated dust at the bottom of the port. Then it's compressed every time you plug the type C connector and it looks almost like hard material.
You can clean it very carefully with a needle. For 2,5 years I had to do it twice with my Zenfone 8.
