when I got the ZenFone 8 a few months ago, I was delighted to find it's almost free of bloatware and has very little preinstalled and system apps. Very much to my liking.
One of the very few preinstalled apps was Facebook's Messenger. To me it's packed with useless features and uses way too much resources considering my use scenarios - I just want to chat. Luckily it was not a system app and I could fully uninstall it and use my beloved Messenger Lite instead.
So I uninstalled the bloated Messenger. Then a month or so later I found it was on my phone again. So I uninstalled it! And another month or so later, today, I see it's installed yet again! Any idea as to what is going on?
