My zenfone 8's screen randomly went grey, I couldn't do anything with it, including turning it off. Nothing worked, I couldn't use my phone at all!
I tried a few things that I found on my laptop online, here's what actually worked for me: holding down all 3 buttons, vol up, vol down and power button, for about 10 seconds. This restarted my phone and now it's fine.
I just wanted to share, hopefully if this happens to anyone else they will be able to find this post 🙂 I wish I had this info earlier!
