BIG BATTERY DRAIN ON ZENFONE 8 ON ANDROID 12

Tge battery on my zenfone 8 is draing so fast ni matter what battery mode i use. Im mostly on dinamic and auto refresh and AOD OFF. The battery life is alos very inconsistent. Just using the phone drains the battery very qiuckly. I dont play games on it,aslo the camera app is using alot of battery. Any advice??I just hope they fix this issues with next updates. Eveything else i love on this phone.

Sorry, then. For me 12 was a considerable improvement. Battery manager says nothing relevant about what consumed so much power?

Battery management/usage chart is correct from what i can tell but the drain in real time is way bigger then what battery usage shows. My OAD drains 1% per 10 minutes. Also just using stock messeging app for a few minutes drains 3 to 4% of battery. Taking short 1080p videos for 30 to 45 secinds drains 1 % of battery. (i use camera for recording my workout sets)I have tried all battery Modes and all reftesh rate modes and nothing helped. Factory reset 2 times, downgradesd to Android 11 once and then updated via OTA to Android 12 again.(first Android 12 update was done manualy via Asus support)My battery is defective 100%. Im gonna go to store where i bought the phone and ask for new one cause this has faulty battery.I know its defective battery cause i cahanged alot of phones and i see form other phones how batterys should perform. Also i never game on the phone.

From what you describe, everything suggests a defective battery.

Do you think the store will give me a new phone?its not official Asus store,its a mixed electronic store. Its still under warenty,less than 1 month old phone.

I just update manually from A11 .82 firmware to A12, so far battery has a good improvement, right now my phone from 100% almost reach 2 days without charging, and now it still 13% of juice and the SoT 4 hours 45 minutes. I'm a casual user, social media (instagram, twitter), spending 40 minutes on youtube, spotify, mostly whatsapp and I say this battery life has a great improvement comparing the Android 11 where it will only last a day less.
